Liuteria Shop is a small company that manufactures and sells items for the art of violin making; it was created thanks to the expertise and skills of Monica Morassi and Antonio Rapaccioli, who have both worked in this field for 30 and 10 years, respectively. It aims to reach violin makers mostly, however their items will be of interest also for musicians and all those who are passionate about stringed instruments.
Our products and accessories are both specialised and generic, and from the best brands; we have woods of all types, and excellent strings, resins, wood powders, and glues for violin makers and bow makers. We supply a great variety of items as our product catalogue is kept at the highest standards of quality to meet all our customers’ needs.
Liuteria Shop manufactures part of the products we deliver: they are designed and created by Master Gio Batta Morassi, to whom we are profoundly grateful for his great contribution to the Italian violin making tradition. Just as an example: our brass finger planes are made through melting by a unique design of Master Morassi, and are then completed by hand by Beppe, our technician, who is very precious to us for his professional skills and friendship.
All these products are entirely of Italian high quality standards. For those parts made of maple and spruce, we have relied on Davide’s vast expertise for years; he has devoted his knowledge and competence to finding and cutting the best trunks, to turning them into tops, backs, necks, and to making them age in the open air. He also is a valuable professional and a great friend to us. Being a small family business, our production costs are very low; we can therefore establish incredibly competitive prices for our products.
